Registration

General registration may be granted to:

Australian and New Zealand medical graduates
medical practitioners who have previously held general registration in Australia
international medical graduates in the competent authority pathway, or
international medical graduates with the Australian Medical Council certificate.

Period of general registration

When you are first granted general registration, you are granted registration up to 30 September. Thereafter, you may apply to renew registration annually by 30 September.
