The Medical Board of Australia (MBA) and Qld Board of the MBA have issued a joint statement.

The members of the Queensland Board of the Medical Board of Australia are concerned that they had no opportunity to consider or respond to the Forrester Report before the Minister issued each member with a show cause notice. The members refute any suggestion that they acted in any way that was unprofessional. The Board is seeking independent legal advice.

The Medical Board of Australia believes that at all times the Queensland Board has acted in good faith and had the safety of the public of Queensland as its first priority.
