Applications are now sought from experienced and registered medical practitioners who practise and reside in the Northern Territory for appointment to the Northern Territory Board of the Medical Board of Australia.
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) supports the 14 National Health Profession Boards in their primary role of protecting the public.
State, territory and regional boards exercise their functions in the jurisdiction to provide an effective and timely local response to health practitioners and other persons.
State, territory and regional board appointments are made by the relevant Minister for Health under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law as in force in each state and territory. These appointments are for up to three years, with eligibility for reappointment and will commence in October 2014.
Your application will be assessed by a Selection Advisory Panel for appointable positions.
