Call for applications – New South Wales Board of the Medical Board of Australia

04 May 2015

Applications are now sought from medical practitioners and community members from New South Wales to fill vacancies on the New South Wales Board of the Medical Board of Australia.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) supports the 14 National Health Profession Boards in their primary role of protecting the public. In New South Wales, AHPRA manages the registration processes for health practitioners and students across Australia.

State, territory and regional boards exercise their functions in the jurisdiction to provide an effective and timely local response to health practitioners and other persons.

Applicants may be:

  • community members
  • medical practitioners – either general or specialist registration

Appointments are made by the Minister for Health under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory. Appointments are for up to three years, with eligibility for reappointment.

Applications will be assessed by a selection advisory panel for appointable positions.
