Call for expressions of interest – Queensland Board of the Medical Board of Australia
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) supports the 14 National Health Profession Boards in their primary role of protecting the public. AHPRA manages the registration and notification handling processes for health practitioners and students across Australia.
State, territory and regional boards exercise their functions in the jurisdiction to provide an effective and timely local response to health practitioners and other persons.
Applications are now sought from medical practitioners and community members from Queensland to fill vacancies on the Queensland Board of Medical Board of Australia.
To be eligible for a community member vacancy you must not at any time have been registered as a health practitioner in the health profession for which the National Board is established.
Queensland Board appointments are made by the Queensland Minister for Health under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory. Appointments are for up to three years, with eligibility for reappointment, and are expected to commence in end of 2016.
For enquiries, please email statutoryappointments@ahpra.gov.au.
Applications close on Monday 30 May 2016.
