A referral by the Medical Board of Australia against a general practitioner has been dismissed.
The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) has dismissed a referral by the Medical Board of Australia against general practitioner Dr Glen Nicholas Pearse.
The Board had alleged that Dr Pearse had behaved inappropriately during a consultation with a patient in April 2013 by breaching professional boundaries.
QCAT found that the Board’s allegations were not proven.
The Tribunal heard the matter in January and March 2014, and issued its decision in November 2015, noting it was not satisfied that the events alleged by the patient had occurred.
The QCAT decision is published on AustLII.
